German Wine Society Members & Guests,
Please join us
Sunday, June 7, from 2 pm to 6 pm, as we experience a “Wine Journey Down the Mosel River Valley” presented by our own Michael Fritze, who has based this tasting on a recent trip to this region.
Arguably the most famous Riesling growing region in Germany, the Mosel Valley has seen viticulture since the Roman times. The lighter elegant styles of wine made here are unique expressions of the Riesling grape considered the “king of white wine varietals”. Nine selections will be featured chosen from famous Mosel estates Mike visited with his wife a few years ago. These range from Trocken (dry) through Kabinett and Spatlese styles. Some details of these estates and well known owners will also be shared at this tasting.
The wine list for this event is:
2012 Dr. Loosen Riesling QbA “Dr. L”, Mosel
2012 Dr. Loosen Riesling Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling GG Trocken, Mosel
