Calling all Riesling lovers! The Riesling grape is of course a favorite of the German Wine Society, but many places around the world also grow Riesling to great acclaim in a variety of styles ranging from bone-dry to lusciously sweet. On Sunday June 26th at 2:00pm, join the German Wine Society as we sample Rieslings from around the world and see how this grape that comes from Germany has become a favorite for winemakers, sommeliers, critics, and consumers around the world!
The tasting will be held at the Harbour Square Club Room. The address for our tasting is 500 N St SW, Washington, DC. 20024 and will be June 26th at 2:00pm. It is very easy to get to and park there. Marilyn Scarbrough has thoughtfully reserved a few spaces in her complex’s visitors parking, but we cannot guarantee that these will be available. Metro is very accessible via Waterfront Metro Station on the Green Line. Joe Aguiar is organizing the event and will present the wines.
We will feature 9 wines from the following regions: Michigan, California, New York, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, Luxembourg, Serbia, and of course, Germany. Light refreshments of cheese and crackers will be served. Here is the full wine list, which will be given in 5 flights:
