The San Francisco Chapter of the German Wine Society will hold its next special wine tasting event on Saturday, February 10, 2018. This event will feature a wide variety of wines (dry to sweet) from the cellar of the San Francisco Chapter of the German Wine Society and the cellar of our Chapter President, Barry Boothe. The wines will be from several different regions (Mosel, Pfalz, Nahe, Rheingau, Rheinhessen, Ruwer and Saar) and will include at least one auslese for everyone from the legendary 1971 vintage, one spätlese for everyone from the excellent 1983 vintage, one Spätburgunder red wine for everyone, and two beerenauslesen for everyone . There will be enough food (served buffet-style) for every attendee to have a full meal.
This event is a “Members Only” event and is free for members who have paid their dues for the 2018 Calendar Year. Each 2018 dues paid member may bring one guest, also for free.
To attend this event, RSVP’s must be received as specified below by February 1, 2018. If you do RSVP “Yes”, please indicate if you will be bringing a guest, and include the name of the guest.
Time: 7:00-9:00 p.m.
Where: Home of Joan and Barry Boothe, 2435 Divisadero Street, San Francisco.
Street parking is available in the area.
Cost: Free for members and one guest.
Please note that RSVP’s after February 1 (but in no case later than February 6) will be charged a $10 fee.
Food: There will be our usual spread of enough delectable food to make a full meal.

All Society members and guests are reminded that alcohol consumption can lead to intoxication and therefore Society members and their guests are expected to drink in moderation at Society events. We suggest those attending either utilize designated drivers or other modes of transit where available, or mostly taste rather than consume alcohol when such drivers or alternative means of transportation are not available.
